How Mark Fazio Mortgage Team Got Started
I've been working in the Phoenix mortgage market for over 10 years now, and I still love what I do. This city has a way of getting under your skin. The growth, the energy, the way people come here to build something, it's contagious. I've helped teachers in Tempe buy their first home. I've helped veterans coming off base at Luke AFB use their VA benefits the right way. I've helped self-employed business owners who got turned down by the big banks find loan programs that actually fit their situation.
What keeps me going is pretty simple: when someone calls me stressed out about whether they can afford their dream home, and they hang up the phone knowing they have a plan, that's the job. That's why I do this.
I'm not a call center. I'm not a bank with a 1-800 number. I'm a local broker who answers his phone, shops dozens of lenders to find you the best rate, and uses every tool available to get your loan closed fast. Meet Mark Fazio
I grew up understanding that a home isn't just a building. It's the foundation everything else gets built on. That belief is what drives the way I work.
Over the past 10-plus years in the mortgage industry, I've had the privilege of helping thousands of families and investors get to the closing table, here in Arizona and across the country. I work as an independent mortgage broker through Barrett Financial Group, which means I'm not locked into one bank's products. I shop the wholesale market across dozens of lenders to find the rate and program that actually makes sense for your situation. Not the one that's easiest for me. The one that's best for you.
I specialize in pretty much everything the market throws at me: conventional and FHA loans for everyday buyers, VA loans for the veterans and active-duty service members I'm proud to serve, jumbo loans for luxury properties, and non-QM programs like bank statement loans and DSCR investor loans for the self-employed and real estate investors who don't fit the traditional box. I also use AI-powered document technology that speeds up the verification process and cuts out a lot of the back-and-forth that makes mortgage loans so frustrating.
Phoenix is home, and the Arizona market is where I've spent most of my career, but my reach goes well beyond the Valley.
